Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 21, 2026

A1 Pool Service is a small, owner-operated pool care business in Marin County. This page explains what we collect through this website, why, and who else touches it. We have tried to write it in plain language rather than legal filler.

The short version

We collect the information you type into our quote form, and nothing else. This website sets no cookies and does not track you across the internet. We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with advertisers. We use what you give us to quote your pool and to do the work.

Who we are

A1 Pool Service is an independent pool maintenance and repair business serving Marin County and nearby communities. When this policy says "we," "us," or "our," it means A1 Pool Service. When it says "the site," it means this website.

What we collect

Information you give us

When you submit the "Get a Quote" form, we receive whatever you enter:

We ask for the service address because we cannot quote a pool without knowing where it is and what the site access looks like. Only the name, phone, address, and service type are required. Everything else is optional.

If you call, text, or email us instead, we receive whatever is in that message, along with your phone number or email address.

Information collected automatically

Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs, which include IP addresses and browser information, for security and reliability. We may also use a privacy-focused, cookieless analytics tool that counts page visits and shows which sites link to us. It does not use cookies, does not fingerprint your device, and does not build a profile of you or follow you to other websites.

What we do not collect

We do not ask for and do not want your Social Security number, your bank or card details, your driver's license, or any government identification. If a page ever asks you for these, it is not us. We also do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Cookies and tracking

This site sets no cookies of its own, and stores nothing in your browser's local storage. There is no advertising pixel, no retargeting tag, no social media tracker, and no session recording on this site. That is why you do not see a cookie consent banner here — there is nothing to consent to.

Do Not Track signals

Some browsers can send a "Do Not Track" signal to websites you visit. There is still no common industry standard for how a site should answer one. Because this site does not track visitors across other websites in the first place, and sets no cookies, there is nothing here for a Do Not Track signal to switch off. We do not change our behavior in response to the signal, because our behavior already matches what the signal asks for.

We do not allow third parties to collect personally identifiable information about your activity on this site over time or across other websites.

How we use your information

We use what you give us to:

We do not add you to a marketing list because you asked for a quote. If we ever start a newsletter, it will be something you opt into on purpose.

Who else sees it

We keep this list short deliberately. These are the only outside services involved in running this site:

Beyond those, we may share information where the law requires it, or with professional advisers such as our accountant or insurer where necessary. We will share what a legal request obliges us to share, and no more.

We do not sell your personal information, and we never have. We do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not trade lead lists with other contractors.

How long we keep it

If you request a quote and do not become a customer, we keep the request for up to two years, in case you come back to us. If you become a customer, we keep service and billing records for as long as you are a customer and for seven years afterward, which is what tax and insurance record-keeping practically requires. You can ask us to delete a quote request sooner and we will.

Your choices

You can ask us to:

Email info@a1poolservicemarin.com or call (415) 456-6665 and we will handle it. We do not charge for this, and we will not make it difficult. We aim to respond within 30 days.

If you are a California resident, state privacy law gives some consumers additional formal rights, including rights to know, delete, correct, and opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. As described above, we do not sell or share personal information in the way those laws define it. Whether or not those laws formally apply to a business our size, we will honor the requests listed above from anyone who asks.

Security

The site is served over an encrypted HTTPS connection, and the quote form is transmitted encrypted. Access to our email and customer records is limited to the people who need it to do the work. That said, no method of transmission over the internet is perfectly secure, and we will not pretend otherwise. Please do not send us sensitive personal or financial information through the quote form or by email.

Links to other sites

If we ever link to another website, this policy does not cover what that site does. Their rules apply once you leave ours.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle your information, we will update this page and change the "last updated" date at the top. If the change is significant, we will say so plainly rather than hiding it in a revision.
